We seek Baba’s blessings to build a bigger Mandir complex (affectionately referred to as “Sai Niwas”) to meet the spiritual and devotional needs of ever-growing congregation of devotees. The new Mandir will be built on the 2.2 acre lot which is being currently used for parking purposes. A sincere attempt has been made to replicate key components of the Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi, India, including Dwarkamai, Dhuni, Chavadi, Gurusthan and Lendi Baug. Other planned facilities include Resource Centre, Administrative Office, Library, Kitchen, Dining Hall, Storage, Washrooms and area for Coats and Shoes. The new Mandir complex will have 150 parking spots and can accommodate more than 500 people at a time in the prayer hall. The dining hall will have a capacity of 250 people at a time. Building permit plans have been approved by the City of Toronto. Devotees can see a 3d printed scale model of the complex at the Mandir. Floor plans and computerized renditions of the proposed Mandir complex can be seen overleaf. We are in the process of developing construction drawings for the project and expect to award the construction contract in Q4 2024. Construction for site services (water, hydro and natural gas connections) have started in Oct 2024. The project is expected to cost about $15 million.
